In my 24 years as a professional photographer, I have photographed thousands of couples, but for many reasons this particular shoot stood out. Deb and Rick are married and both are professional photographers - they came to me looking for a “lifestyle shoot”. When I asked them what that meant to them, they said, “we trust you, just do what you do”. Oh Boy, no pressure there. hmmmm . . . lifestyle shoot, lifestyle shoot. OK - I’ve got this. Natural. Hanging out together. Being themselves. It never hurts to have the cutest little dog ever. Unscripted. Poses can be stylized, but also some non-posed - just having fun together. Joy. Tell the story of their relationship, but keep in mind, they’re not 25 years old and newly married - the relationship is quieter, less showy, deeper, relaxed - easy.
